RE: FORWARDING THE NOTIFICATION OF THE OPENING OF APPLICATION FOR THE 2026 STUDENT VENTURE CAPITAL GRANT (S-VCG) COHORT

The subject above refers, please.

  1. Further to our earlier circular (Ref. No: FME/PE&AI/DEPT/C.II/VOL.I/20 dated 26th August, 2026) regarding the official opening of applications for the 2026 Student Venture Capital Grant (S-VCG) Cohort, I am directed to inform all Institutions to accelerate awareness and support for eligible students.
  2. Please be informed that the application portal for the 2026 S-VCG Cohort will officially close on Wednesday, 30th September, 2026. In view of the approaching deadline, Rectors and Heads of Institutions are requested to urgently step up administrative measures as previously advised:
  3. Intensive Campus Sensitization: Re-broadcast information regarding the grant via student portals, notice boards, official social media handles, and campus media to reach all eligible students across departments.
  4. Institutional Mentorship & Support: Re-engage Entrepreneurship Development Centres, Academic Planning Units, and Student Affairs Divisions to assist students with proposal refinement, submission guidance, and technical support prior to the closing date.

  • Eligibility: All currently enrolled students across accredited public and private tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
