The Olofa of Offa, Oba Muhammad Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Ajagungbade l Esuwoye ll has declared that the current Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Offa led by Dr. Usman Bokani Ahmed is the best since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

Olofa revealed this during a courtesy visit to the palace by the Governing Council members on Wednesday 29th of June, 2022.

 

Olofa in his address said the Governing Council is the best council among the three his reign has witnessed on the throne and is ready to double his support for the polytechnic.

According to him, “I’m proud that this Governing Council is not a burden to the management of the Polytechnic, from the time past, the institution been notorious for different crises but ever since I ascended the throne, the institution has been so peaceful and I always come in whenever there are issues to resolve among staff unions and students.”

 

Kabiesi Olofa further thanked the Governing Council for supporting the school management and prayed for their tenure to be successful.

The Chairman Governing Council, Dr. Usman Bokani Ahmed in his response thanked Olofa of Offa for the persistent support to the Polytechnic. Dr. Ahmed appreciated Olofa for the 500KVA transformer donated to the Polytechnic.

While presenting a letter of appreciation to Olofa, the council solicited more support from the monarch for the growth and development of the institution.

 

Earlier, the Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi had explained the pivotal role the monarch has been playing in moving the institution forward and how he has impacted positively into the affairs of the institution.

He, therefore, thanked Olofa of Offa for his fatherly roles and for always being there for the institution in all ramifications.
