Fastest growing Polytechnic in Nigeria and Sub-Sahara Africa.

TETFund

TETFund was Established with the responsibility to administer, disburse and monitor the education tax to public tertiary institutions in Nigeria, it is certainly an understatement to conclude that Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has been living to expectations.

The Fund, has indeed, cut a niche for itself with its immeasurable contributions towards aggressive development of academics in the nation's tertiary institutions. Impacts of the Fund have, without doubts, facilitated improved ratings for Nigerian public universities, polytechnics and colleges of education among their peers in the African continent. Also, effects of quality instructional education offered in these institutions through TETFund-sponsored facilities and equipment, are evident in the offshore African continent ratings.

Among the tertiary institutions the Fund has indelibly impacted on, is The Federal Polytechnic Offa. The Polytechnic, since inception, has witnessed tremendous physical infrastructure development courtesy of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). The Institution's recent and enviable rating by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), as the most patronized Polytechnic in Nigeria, could directly be linked to availability of functional and state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities as provided by the Fund.

The mandate of the Fund as provided in Section 7(1)(a) to (e) of the TETFUND ACT, 2011 is to administer and disburse the amount in the Fund to Federal and State tertiary educational institutions, specifically for the provision and maintenance of the following: Essential physical infrastructure for teaching and learning; Instructional material and equipment; Research and publication; Academic staff training and development; providing funding for educational facilities and infrastructural development; promoting creative and innovative approaches to educational learning and services; stimulating, supporting and enhancing improvement activities in educational foundation areas like Teacher Education, Teaching Practice, Library Development, etc.

All these are functionally in place in the Polytechnic just as presented below:
