O’ LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

1.

ACCOUNTANCY

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Economics are compulsory and any two credit passes from Commerce/Marketing, Account/Book-keeping, Government/Civic Education, Geography, Office Practice, Business Methods, Biology/Agricultural Science, and ICT/Computer Science.

2.

BANKING & FINANCE

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics/Commerce are compulsory and any other two credit passes from  Account/ Book-keeping, Office Practice, Government/Civic Education, Geography, Agricultural Science/Biology and Business Methods

3.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics are compulsory and any other two from Commerce, Accounts/Financial Accounting/Cost Accounting, Business Management, Book Keeping, Geography, Government/Civil Education, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry/Fisheries, Information and Communication Technology/Computer Science, Insurance, Marketing/Store Keeping and Social Studies.

4.

INSURANCE

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Commerce/Economics are compulsory and any two from Insurance, Financial Account/Bookkeeping, Biology/Agricultural science/Animal Husbandry, Geography, Business Method, Marketing, Office Practice, Government/Civil Education, Computer/ICT.

MARKETING

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics are compulsory and any two Credits in any of the following Social Sciences subjects: Commerce, Account, Business Method, Geography, Marketing/Salesmanship, Storekeeping/Store Management and Civil Education/Government. Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry/Physics.

6.

MASS COMMUNICATION.

Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Literature in English are compulsory and any other two subjects from Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa, Commerce/Economics, Government, Civil Education and Biology/Agric. Science, Office Practice, ICT and CRS/Islamic Studies

LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE.

Credit Passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory and any other three subjects from History, Lit-in-English, Economics/Commerce, Fine Art Government, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Basic Electricity, Geography, Typewriting, commerce/principles of Accounting.

8.

OFFICE TECHNOLOGY & MANAGEMENT

Credit Passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory and any other three subjects from Business Method, Commerce, Economics, Typewriting, Shorthand, Account, History, Literature in English, Government, Geography, Religious Knowledge, Biology/Agricultural Science, Office Practice, I C T and Civil Education.

SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY.

Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics are Compulsory.

10.

COMPUTER SCIENCE.

Credit Passes in Physics, Mathematics and English Language are compulsory and any two credits from Chemistry, Economics/Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science/Food and Nutrition, Statistics/Further Mathematics, Applied Electricity/Basic Electronics and Computer Studies/Information Communication Technology.

11.

STATISTICS

(i)   Credit Passes in Mathematics and English Language are Compulsory

(ii)Any Credit passes in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science/ICT, Biology/Agric. Science, Animal Husbandry, Health Sciences, Fishery,

(iii) At least a credit pass from ant two of the following subjects: Economics/Commerce, Geography, Government, Civic Education

12.

FOOD TECHNOLOGY

Credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, and Biology/Agric are compulsory and any of Physics, Technical Drawing, Economics/Commerce, Geography, Food and Nutrition. A pass Grade in Physics is required.

13.

CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Credit Passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory and any one subject from Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity/Basic Electronics, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Wood Works, Further Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, and Geography.

14.

COMPUTER ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY.

Credit Passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language are compulsory and any other credit in Economics/Geography, Biology/Agric. Science/Animal Husbandry/Fisheries, Information and Communication Technology/Computer Studies, Applied Electricity/Metal Work/Technical Drawing/Further Mathematics.

ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING.

Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are compulsory and any other credit from Biology/Agricultural Science Economics, Geography, Applied Electricity, Basic Electronics, Metal Work and Technical Drawing.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY.

Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are compulsory and any other credit from Economics, Geography, Applied Electricity, Basic Electronics, Metal Work and Technical Drawing, Biology/Agricultural Science, Economics/Commerce and Auto mechanic

17.

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY.

Credit in English Language, Mathematics, and Physics are compulsory and any two others from fine Arts, Technical Drawing, woodwork, metalwork, Building Construction, Geography, Chemistry, and Biology.

18.

BUILDING TECHNOLOGY.

Credit Passes in English language, Mathematics and Physics are compulsory and any other two subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Geography, Economics, Building Construction, Technical Drawing/Fine Arts, Wood Work/Metalwork, Block laying/Bricklaying, Concrete work.

19.

QUANTITY SURVEYING

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Physics, are compulsory and any other two from Geography/Economics, Agric Science/ Biology, Chemistry, Technical Drawing/Fine Arts.

20.

SURVEYING & GEO-INFORMATICS

Credit Passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics are compulsory and any other two subjects from Statistics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Basic Surveying, Geography, Economics, Biology/Agricultural Science.

21.

ESTATE MANAGEMENT & VALUATION

Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics are compulsory.

 i. One basic science subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Agricultural science.

ii. And any other subject from Geography, Government, Financial Accounting, Commerce, Fine Art, Metalworks, Technical Drawing, or Woodwork.

 22.

URBAN & REGIONAL PLANNING.

Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory and any other three subjects from Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics, Statistics/Further Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology/Computer Studies, Technical Drawing and Fine Arts.

23.

AGRICULTURAL BIO-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

 Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry are compulsory and any other one from Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics, woodwork

 24.

MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

 25.

AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY

Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and ANY one from Economics, Geography, Physics and Technical Drawing.

 26.

PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

English language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two from Storekeeping, Business Method, Principle of Account, Geography, Government/ Civic Education or Biology/Agricultural Science.

 27.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics and ANY one from Geography, Principle of Accounts/Bookkeeping, Agricultural Science/ Biology, CRK/IRS, Home Economics/Home Management, Business Studies, Statistics, Marketing, Office Practice.

  28.

HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry and any two from Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics/Commerce, Catering craft, Food and Nutrition/Home Economics, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES (HND)

1.

Possession of a National Diploma certificate in the programme the candidate has applied for at a level, not below PASS CREDIT obtained from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa or similar Institutions whose respective programmes have been accredited.

2.

Evidence of a minimum of one year of relevant post-National Diploma industrial training experience and two years for candidates with Pass credit grades.

3.

Relevant five (5) ‘O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings from such examinations as SSCE/GCE, NTC/NBC O ‘Level (WAEC/NECO/ NABTEB).
