Citation of the 7th Governing Council Chairman, Alh. Moshood O. Ojikutu

Alhaji Moshood Ojikutu is a native of Lagos State. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

His career progression started at Metal Box Nig. Ltd. from 1980-1984. Alhaji Ojikutu served as Principal Assistant Registrar at Lagos State University, Ojoo, Lagos State between 1984 and 1990. His outstanding administrative experience further lifted him to the position of Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council and Head of Administration at the then Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu from 1991 to 2005 where he left a remarkable footprint as the brain behind the success of the administration.

He has held several political positions including National Electoral Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission, Abuja (INEC) from 1998 to 2003, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission in Lagos State between 2006 and 2015, and Chairman, Forum of Chairmen of Local Government Service Commission in Nigeria between 2011 and 2015.

He's a recipient of many awards including the Distinguished Alumni Award 2013 at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
