DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
BRIEF HISTORY OFTHEDEPARTMENT
The Department was established in 1992 when the Federal Polytechnic Offa took off under the Polytechnic Act of the Military Administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida. As a new Department, the National Diploma Programme (ND) took off and was eventually accredited for both full-time and part-time programmes before the eventual commencement of the Higher National Diploma programmes (HND)with options in POWER AND MACHINE (PM) and ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION (ET). The Department also offers a Bachelor DegreeCertificate in affiliation with The Federal University of Minna Technology (FUTMINNA).
PROGRAMMESAVAILABLE AND DURATION
The Department offers both National Diploma Certificate of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Higher National Diploma Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with options in Power/Machine and Electronic/Telecommunication (Two years duration at ND level, after, plus one year of Industrial Attachment or two years at pass level and two years at HND level).
