ADDENDUM TO ADMISSIONS INTO FULL-TIME HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) (MORNING & EVENING) FOR 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION

Further to our earlier publication in the Nation newspaper of 6th May, 2019 and the Polytechnic website on Admissions into Full-Time Higher National Diploma (HND Morning and Evening) and Part-time National Diploma (ND) Programmes, we wish to inform the general public and intending candidates of the following additional information.

Applications are hereby invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Full-Time Higher National Diploma programmes in the Departments of Science Laboratory Technology (School of Applied Sciences & Technology) and Estate Management & Evaluation (School of Environmental Studies) of the Federal Polytechnic Offa for 2019/2020 academic session.

Details are as follows:

TWO YEAR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) MORNING PROGRAMMES 

The under listed two (2) years Full-Time programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma are available in the Institution viz;

1. SCHOOLOF APPLIED SCIENCESAND TECHNOLOGY

       Department of Science Laboratory Technology

1. Biochemistry
2. Chemistry
3. Environmental Biology
4. Microbiology

2. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

1. Estate Management & Valuation

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) MORNING PROGRAMMES

The entry requirements for the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes are as follow:

1. National Diploma (ND), National Innovative Diploma (NID) in the chosen programme at not a grade below LOWER CREDIT classification from a recognized/accredited Polytechnic, Monotechnic or Innovation Enterprise Institutions.
2. O’ Level Requirements in SSCE, GCE and its equivalent    
3. Minimum offive (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology obtained at not more than two (2) sittings for candidates in the Science Laboratory Technology Department.
4. Minimum offive (5) creditpasses in  English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one basic Science subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other subject from Geography, Government, Accounts, Commerce, Fine Arts,  Technical Drawing , Metal and Woodwork obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, for candidates in the Estate Management & Valuation Department.
5. The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with credit level pass in a trade plus four relevant academic subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics.

4. All candidates are required to have at leastone year postNational Diploma Industrial Training experience; however, candidates with pass grade at the ND/NID are eligible for consideration for admission provided they have minimum of two (2) years post Industrial Training experience.

Every applicants for the Polytechnic HND Programme who did not obtain his/her ND from The Federal Polytechnic Offa are required to forward a copy of his/her National Diploma transcript to the Office of the Registrar on or before 27th September, 2019.

All candidates are enjoined to visit this Polytechnic’s Portal www.fpo.edu.ng for appropriate entry requirements for programmes of their choice and other relevant information.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

To apply online for HND (Full-Time) programmes, candidates are to visit this Polytechnic portal: www.fpo.edu.ng, click on admission to fill application form, and thereafter make payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only for application form and no other charges shall be required. Payment will be made with an ATM card that is Interswitch compatible.

Candidates are to also upload scanned copy of certificate(s)/result(s) and other required documents as stated online.

SCREENING FOR ADMISSIONS

All candidates are expected to present themselves for screening from Monday 9^th to Friday 13^th September, 2019 with their photocopy and original credentials and a copy of the form obtained online; however, candidates are expected to submit security clearance form to the Polytechnic security office.

APPLICATION CLOSING DATE:

13th September, 2019.

Please note that any false/wrong data entry will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate at any time so discovered. Also note that successful candidates will undergo verification of certificate(s)
