The acting Rector who was accompanied by Director of information, Public Relations and Protocol, Olayinka Iroye, and P.A, Mr. Toyin Ore visited the staff on 16th of March 2022 during the ongoing ‘Science, Technology and Innovation Expo’ organized by the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation at Eagle Square, Abuja.

Dr. Olarongbe commended the efforts of Polytechnic researchers for their inventions which were showcased at the national level. He charged them not to relent in their research works which is crucial to technical education in Nigeria.

Speaking further, he said the management will always support the Polytechnic staff in the area of commercialization of their notable inventions through proper linkage with relevant stakeholders.

While the Polytechnic Director of Research and Innovation, Dr. Mrs. Grace Korter appreciated the management for deeming it fit to sponsor league of researchers from various departments to the exhibition. She noted some of the efforts taken to link the polytechnic researchers with the relevant ministries and agencies for patent rights, partnership, and collaboration.

Dr. Korter, therefore, assured the management of more inventions to further uphold the mandate which the Polytechnic is known for.
